Two-day HR Legal Seminar – Reset the Clock and Replace Liability with Credibility
The Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources (JSAHR), a Gold Excel award winner of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), is hosting a two-day legal seminar presented by employment and labor law attorney Mike Mirachi, Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12, 2016, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Monmouth University, Club 107 in Magill Commons,* West Long Branch, N.J.
HR professionals know that even if they win an employee related lawsuit, it’s never really a win. The costs to the company in legal fees, management time, employee morale and public relations can be significant. Wouldn’t it be better to avoid a lawsuit instead?
“Reset the Clock” will provide situations and specific advice for handling the major employee-related interactions that HR professionals often experience. Attendees will learn how to support the management team through effective and ethical employee relations practices that minimize corporate and personal liability; identify scripted responses that can be used in sensitive situations that help prevent past events from being used to support future legal claims; and understand how to avoid hearing, “You should have anticipated this” from senior management after an avoidable legal claim.
The registration fee, which includes all materials, and breakfast and lunch on both days, is $499 for JSAHR and Garden State Council members; and $599 for nonmembers.
