National Health Center Week, August 10-16, 2014, is recognized by health centers throughout the United States. National Health Center Week was spearheaded in New Jersey by the New Jersey Primary Care Association (NJPCA), a nonprofit corporation that represents the organizational providers and affiliates of community-based ambulatory health care statewide.

Dr. Theresa Berger, the CEO of OHI, said, “America’s community health centers are unique because they are designed to provide health care for all people from birth into their senior years regardless of their ability to pay. The medical staff and professionals in community health centers ensure their cost-effective services meet the needs of the whole patient, and include preventative care as well as chronic disease management.”
