Lakewood DPW Announces Extra Trash Pickup Days for Passover Cleanup
The Lakewood Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced that it will be increasing pickups for two zones in anticipation of Passover trash volume.
All zones will continue to have normal trash and bulk pickup; however, Zones 1 and 2* will have an extra household only curbside trash pickup day—green cans only—to relieve congestion in those areas.
The additional trash pickup day for Zone 1 is Wednesday, March 28, beginning at 7:00 a.m. The additional trash pickup day for Zone 2 is Thursday, March 29, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
Remember to call the DPW (732-905-3405) for an appointment to have monthly bulk trash picked up. Bulk trash and recyclables can always be brought to the DPW, on the corner of New Hampshire and Cedar Bridge avenues, Monday through Friday 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The DPW is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., exclusive of holidays.
