Howell Business Owner to Receive Golden Osprey Award
Kellyann Skorupski, Howell, the co-owner of Chores NJ (Chores), a lifestyle management and concierge services company, Wall Township, has been named a recipient of a Golden Osprey Award by the Jersey Shore Chamber of Commerce (JSCC). The Golden Osprey Awards are given to those who have contributed significantly to the betterment of the Jersey Shore and the business community. The award ceremony and dinner is Thursday, October 18 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., at Jumping Brook Country Club, 210 Jumping Brook Road, Neptune, N.J.
Skorupski volunteers with the American Cancer Society (ACS), serving on the Tides of Change Gala committee; the Jersey Shore Golf Class committee; and the Corporate Leadership Council of the ACS. Moreover, she has organized charity fundraising events for personal friends battling cancer.
As a member of the JSCC, Skorupski was the chairwoman of the Summer Kickoff event for the Chamber. She also serves on the marketing committee, among other chamber committees.
Before creating Chores, Skorupski was a Jazzercise franchisee for 18 years, owner of Jazzercise Fitness Center, Wall, and a Quality Coordinator for Jazzercise Inc., who evaluated and mentored other franchised Jazzercise instructors throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties.
Skorupski and her business partner Stephanie Marsh, Howell, pride themselves on Chores being a “community” driven business, not only involved with the JSCC, the American Cancer Society, and several networking groups, but they have also volunteered for “Carnival for Autism,” a benefit for Autism Awareness. Skorupski’s community service includes coaching sports teams, being involved in and running charity events, and participating in PTOs.
Skorupski, who graduated from Parsippany Hills High School, attended William Patterson College. She is a member of Corporate Resource Alliance, an exclusive business group for business owners and executives only. She and Marsh were both named 2017 and nominated in 2018 Leading Women Brand Builder, Intrapreneur & Entrepreneur Finalists for the group “Leading Women Entrepreneurs & Business Owners” (New Jersey Monthly magazine, October issue).
