Enjoy Free Music Concerts July and August in Lakewood
Lakewood residents can enjoy free Lakewood Township music concerts during July and August at the Lakewood All Wars Memorial Amphitheater near Lake Carasaljo, off Route 9, on North Lake Drive. Three concerts are scheduled in July and two concerts during August. Students in Lakewood’s Band Camp will also perform two additional concerts this July.
July 3: 7:30 p.m.Lakewood Municipal Band conducted by Wilbur Wittemann, followed by fireworks
July 21: 2:00 p.m. David Cedeno and his 11-piece orchestra, playing the best of Latino music.Cedeno has performed world-wide and in films with Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez
July 28: 1:00 p.m. Fun-filled family entertainment with audience participation led by Mark Rust, performing a variety of songs and instruments. Rust will teach traditional American country dances and “Tunes on Spoons” during which children and adults learn to play the “Spoons,” and much more.
August 4: 1:00 p.m. Family Show with Yosi and Eugene, a super friendly monster who is misunderstood by nearly everyone except young children. Songs, stories and humor designed to bring kids closer to understanding one another.
August 11: 2:00 p.m. Get Ready and Shooting Stars Bands, straight from Atlantic City.The tribute bands play the best of “Temptations and Earth, Wind and Fire.”
