Kulak Named Member of the Year by Home Care & Hospice Association of New Jersey
Stephanie Kulak, Flourtown, Pennsylvania, Corporate Clinical Director for Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services (PHHC), with offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, was honored with a Member of the Year Award by the Home Care & Hospice Association of N.J. (HCHANJ)
Since 1986, the Carol Kientz Member of the Year Award has been given to an individual who has gone above and beyond in involvement and commitment to the Home Care & Hospice Association of N.J., and its mission to promote the betterment of the home care and hospice industry in New Jersey.
According to HCHANJ officials, “Stephanie Kulak is the epitome of a great clinician. While she is invaluable as Preferred’s Corporate Director of Nursing overseeing 14 offices in the region, her dedication to the industry goes well beyond her ‘day job.’ Throughout COVID, she coordinated vaccine clinics, providing almost daily transmission updates. While working through the ever-changing vaccine mandate implications. She created Preferred COVID vaccine clinics and coordinated with others to allow for their employees to get vaccinated at a Preferred location.
Nancy Fitterer, president and CEO of the Association, said, “During 2021, and the height of the pandemic, Stephanie worked tirelessly with the Association in the development, planning, and implementation of several COVID-19 vaccination clinics. Stephanie’s expertise and commitment were invaluable during this time and contributed to the success of the clinics.”
Kulak, a Registered Nurse (RN), holds a BSN in nursing from the University of Delaware and a Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing, Administration and Management from Aspen University, Denver, Colorado. As corporate clinical director, Kulak’s duties include overseeing all clinical operations of the organization, and being responsible for maintaining licensure, accreditation, and certification as per individual state requirements.
Kulak is a member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership; American Nurses Association; Pennsylvania Homecare Association; Home Care & Hospice Association of New Jersey; and the Homeless Health Initiative at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She serves on the Board of Directors, Committee to Benefit the Children, St. Christopher’s Hospital, Philadelphia; is a Community Health Accreditation Partner Independent Consultant; and an Aspen University Honor Society Board Member.
