Generate Market Visibility for Your Business – Greg Schmalz to Speak at September 11 Lunch Meeting
Greg Schmalz, president of Greg Schmalz Communications, Brick, will be presenting “How to Generate Market Visibility for Your Business” at the Lunch a Little, Learn a Lot business meeting, noon to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Charlie Brown’s Restaurant, 400 Route 70 West, Lakewood, N.J. The cost is $15 and includes Charlie Brown’s salad bar, a lunch entrée, a beverage, and an educational presentation. Walk-ins welcome.
Schmalz will give business owners ideas about how to make their businesses, products, and services more visible by being seen, being read, and being heard.
Schmalz attended Career Academy of TV & radio School, New York City. He served as an adjunct professor at New York University for four years, teaching a post-graduate course in sports and special events public relations; and Fairleigh Dickinson University for two years, teaching an undergraduate course in sports marketing. He also co-authored the course textbook.
Prior to starting his own communications company, Schmalz worked at ABC Radio Network Sports where as senior producer, he produced Howard Cosell’s daily network program “Speaking of Sports”; served as ABC Radio’s street reporter in metropolitan New York; and coordinated production for the 1984 Olympic Games in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, and Los Angeles, and the 1988 Olympic Games in Calgary, Canada, and Seoul, South Korea. He also provided television voice-over talent while at ABC and continues to do commercial voice-overs on cable TV.
More recently, Schmalz had his own award-winning website on INJersey, the online presence of the Asbury Park Press. A former agency vice president, Schmalz serves as consultant to some of the industry’s largest public relations firms, such as Hill and Knowlton and Cohn & Wolfe. He has also assisted small to mid-size agencies, such as Peppercomm, MWW Group, Utopia Communications, and First Team Marketing and Communications.
