Nicole E. French, Manalapan, New Jersey, the Mount Laurel branch manager of Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services (PHHC) with headquarters in Eatontown, has been appointed to the North Central New Jersey Market Board of the March of Dimes for a three-year term.

The March of Dimes (MOD) is a nonprofit organization that funds research, education, and programs to improve the health of mothers and babies, and works to end premature birth, birth defects, and infant mortality.

French will serve as the North Central New Jersey Market chairwoman of the March of Dimes and be responsible to the national Board of Trustees. As market chairwoman, French will partner with senior staff of the March of Dimes to make strategic business decisions in order to implement the organization’s strategic plan. She will also represent the March of Dimes at official functions and in the community at large, among other responsibilities.

French said, “This is an exciting time within the MOD because its mission has evolved from eradicating polio to the fight against prematurity and improving infant mortality, the challenge of today. I am looking forward to supporting this mission through initiatives, such as the ‘Healthy Babies are Worth the Wait’ campaign and ‘Prematurity Awareness Month,’ which raise awareness and provide education about the risk of prematurity.”

Before joining PHHC, French worked for 15 years in the financial industry at Goldman Sachs & Co. and Citigroup Inc., specializing in financial planning and analysis, and corporate strategy. As regional director of Acelleron Medical Products, the durable medical equipment (DME) division of PHHC, French was responsible for the maternal health platform in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, promoting the new maternal benefits within the Affordable Care Act.

French holds a B.S. in accounting from St. Francis College, New York, and an MBA in finance from St. John’s University, New York.
