Red Bank Lawyer and His Band Goldenseal Headline 2017 New Year’s Celebration at Rooney’s
Let the countdown to 2017 begin! Joe Hughes and his band Goldenseal will start the New Year’s Eve countdown to 2017 at Rooney’s Oceanfront Crab House, 100 Ocean Ave, Long Branch, N.J., from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Hughes and Goldenseal have entertained party-goers with music to dance by and the New Year’s Eve countdown at Rooney’s for the last three New Year’s celebrations.
Guests will get free hats and noisemakers, sing Auld Lang Syne, and enjoy a complimentary champagne toast, with no cover charge! Plan to make reservations now for dinner or just come to celebrate.
The band Goldenseal are Rooney regulars, playing there throughout the spring and summer. Goldenseal includes Joe Hughes, lead singer and rhythm guitar; Pat Martucci, drums; Jesse Kessler, bass; John Bongiovanni, lead guitar; Lee Sanderson, sax; and Dennis Eschbach, trombone.
Besides being the lead singer and rhythm guitarist in Goldenseal, Joseph G. Hughes is a partner in the Red Bank law firm Zager Fuchs P.C. and has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a civil trial attorney. Hughes, who likes to raise money for good causes, is also well-known as a songwriter, volunteer and philanthropist, and a member in multiple charitable organizations.
