100.1 WJRZ Raises $10, 490 – A Hole-in-One for Our Veterans
Radio station 100.1 WJRZ, a subsidiary of Beasley Media Group, Inc., recently raised $10,490 to benefit New Jersey Veteran’s Network (NJVN) at its 4th annual “Hittin’ the Links” Golf Outing, held at Sea Oaks Country Club, Little Egg Harbor, N.J.
The purpose of NJVN, a 501 (c)(3) charity, is to help New Jersey veterans and their families enjoy a sustainable quality of life by creating a network of Community Veteran Liaisons (CVL) is to identify veterans, and connect them with resources and programs designed to meet their unique needs, such as mental health, substance abuse, housing and employment.
Matt Knight, program director and afternoon drive host, said, “This year’s event was the biggest turnout in our four-year history. To know that we were able to assist LOCAL veterans is a feeling that everyone should be proud of for their efforts, and it wouldn’t be possible without our listeners and sponsors for believing in the cause.”
