Trinity Worldwide Technologies Donates Assessment Evaluation and IT Plan to SCAN

Posted on March 30, 2017 By

Through the MODC (Monmouth Ocean Development Council) nonprofit annual initiative “Project Connection,” Trinity Worldwide Technologies, LLC, Marlboro, volunteered its time and expertise to assess and develop an “Information Technology Plan” for SCAN (Social Community Activities Network).

SCAN (scannj.com), Eatontown, a nonprofit in the Monmouth Mall, provides adult social education and resources. Founded in 1988, SCAN also promotes socialization, education, and technology to people age 50 and over in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

John Kalli, CEO of Trinity, says, “Developing an IT plan that takes advantage of new technologies will help SCAN operate more efficiently so that they will be able to carry out their business plan to more effectively serve the community.”

Some of those up-to-date improvements include upgrading the email system; standardizing the various software so files can be easily exchanged; creating the ability to use the Cloud to remotely access and share files; and planning that will allow the business to operate virtually, among others.

The MODC nonprofit annual initiative “Project Connection” connects the expertise of MODC business members with the needs of nonprofit members. Since its inception, dozens of organizations have been helped by this mutually beneficial working partnership.

John Kalli, CEO, and William Laohoo, CTO, of Trinity Worldwide Technologies, LLC, Marlboro, have always been dedicated to donating a portion of their time to work on the technology needs of their nonprofit clients. Kalli was the recipient of the 24th annual Spinnaker Award for Community Service.
