COVID-19 and Employment Law Update – Zoom Nov 12

As the 4th quarter unfolds, organizations and HR professionals are faced with a wide range of issues impacting the workplace. “Return to work” has become so much more than three simple words. At the same time, employers continue to grapple with the fallout from the pandemic and the immediate threat of COVID-19 litigation.

COVID-19 and Employment Law Update, a free virtual presentation presented by the law firm of Jackson Lewis, will address a number of pandemic, political, and civil unrest issues that have evolved over the past eight months, and will be hosted by Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources (JSAHR) on Thursday, November 12, 2020, from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Topics include the current state of New Jersey Executive Orders related to COVID-19 and the reopening of workplaces; wage and hour issues impacting the remote work environment; the First Amendment and the New Jersey workplace — Legally and practically managing political and religious expression at work; the legal and practical implications of recent federal executive order regarding training of employees; and attendees’ questions on hot issues impacting current and future workplace matters.
